我是土生土长的新西兰人，英语是我的第一语言。我是名已经取得资格认证的中学教师，拥有奥克兰大学的硕士学位以及奥克兰中学教师学院的中学教师学院文凭，（奥克兰中学教师学院现属于奥克兰大学）。我的专业是英语。我还获得了剑桥 CELTA 认证，有资历为外国学生教授英语。我曾在新西兰的中学和小学任教，在马来西亚任教4 年、文莱任教12 年、泰国大学任教3 年。在过去的 10 年里，我一直在网上教授普通英语和雅思备考。总的来说，我有超过 30 年的教学和辅导经验。我把教学重点放在学习者身上，努力给每个学生学习和使用英语的机会。我尝试让课程具有支持性，这样如果学生确实犯了错误，就会将其视为学习体验的积极部分。我提供雅思备考课程，以及 CEFR A2 及更高级别的一般英语课程。学生如需其他课程，可与我协商。

Self-intro

Tony I am a native-born New Zealander and English is my first language. I am a qualified secondary school teacher with a Masters Degree from the University of Auckland along with a Secondary Teachers College Diploma from Auckland Secondary Teachers College, now part of the University of Auckland. My specialist subject is English. I have also gained my Cambridge CELTA qualification for teaching English to foreign students. I have taught at secondary and primary level in New Zealand, and secondary level in Malaysia (4 years) and Brunei (12 years). I have also taught at university level in Thailand (3 years). I have been teaching general English and IELTS preparation online for the past 10 years. Altogether, I have had over 30 years of teaching and tutoring experience.

I focus my teaching on the learner, trying to give him or her every opportunity to learn and use English. I try to make lessons supportive so that if the student does make mistakes, he or she will see this as a positive part of the learning experience.

I am willing to offer lessons via Zoom and WeChat, (I find Zoom more versatile) from Monday to Friday, at a time that the student and I can agree on. However, I would prefer to complete classes by midnight, NZ time.

I offer lessons in IELTS preparation, and in general English for CEFR levels A2 and higher. Other lessons may be requested by negotiation.

注意事项

我可以在周一到周五通过 Zoom 和微信上课（ Zoom 更方便），上课时间由学生和我商定，不过最好是在新西兰时间午夜之前上完课。新西兰比中国北京早5小时，例如新西兰周日晚上12点就是北京周日晚上7点（2月）。新西兰有夏令时间调整，上课前请跟外教确认好时差。
